The Rise of Daughter from Commanding Dragon

When her cowardly father and stepbrother offer up the women of the household to save their own skins, Astrid is left to watch the sacrifice unfold. The betrayal strips away any illusion of family loyalty and forces her to face a brutal truth about the people who should have protected her. Her survival now depends on a path no one expected her to take, one that will pull her toward the dragon-bound power that has been waiting in the shadows. Every step forward tests whether she can rise from the ruins they left behind.
