The Donna’s Fake Death

After her husband Elijah is unfaithful, the narrator chooses silence over confrontation, quietly keeping up the appearance that she knows nothing. As Elijah continues his affair with Naomi, she swallows the hurt and holds herself together while the betrayal grows harder to hide. The tension between her composed exterior and the pain she carries drives the story forward.
