The Day I Stopped Being Her

Wynne Lynch serves as Nolan Griffin's devoted secretary, and nearly everyone assumes she is simply a lovesick admirer who will endure anything for him. Her real reason for staying close is far more personal: Nolan reminds her of Nathan Griffin, the lover she lost, and she has also promised Nathan's dying wish to look after Nolan for seven years. Throughout that stretch, Nolan lets Rowena Sutter belittle and injure Wynne at every turn. Wynne keeps putting her life on the line for him, from dangerous races to high-altitude skydives, while he remains blind to his own heart.
