The Betrayal That Became Our Story

Macy Nyman sacrificed her body to protect her husband, Jacob Lark, when she stepped in front of a knife, and the injury cost her the ability to carry children after a premature birth. The source ends there mid-thought, so the story is established only up to that devastating moment, when a loving marriage was shattered by betrayal and loss. The setup hints at years of resentment and a painful distance between two people who once trusted each other completely. Macy now faces a life reshaped by that night, and the path ahead is built on a wound that no apology has yet healed.
