That Toy Store Has a Mech?!

A police pursuit of a fugitive ends in an unexpected discovery when officers burst into a toy store and find a mech so advanced that scientists would be stunned by it. The find turns an ordinary raid into something far stranger, drawing the investigators into a secret that none of them expected. The source premise breaks off there, so the story's central pull lies in how this shocking machine sits inside a shop full of playthings.
