Teach me to burn

June Sinclair is a broke Minnesota girl who has spent her life unnoticed, sweeping popcorn in a grand city theatre, sleeping in its balcony, and secretly writing poems she has shown no one. Roxane Sterling is the most celebrated actress in American theatre, a star for fifteen years, married to the man who built her career. When he snatches the microphone from her during a standing ovation before nine hundred people and names June as her replacement, Roxane is forced into a deal: three months of total obedience in exchange for turning the unknown cleaner into a star. Roxane sets firm rules against romance, but the lessons begin to unsettle her far more than they unsettle June.
