Shuffling Lies, Dealing Death

Journalist Waldron sets out to expose an underground casino, but her investigation ends in betrayal when Samuel, the establishment's manager, has her killed. Her death is only the beginning of the story, which follows the fallout of that betrayal and the reckoning that Waldron's fate sets in motion among the gambling house's players and keepers. The tale is built on a clash between a woman who sought the truth and the man who silenced her for it.
