Seducing My Childhood Friend's Roommate

During a graduation trip, Jake staged an elaborate confession for Madison, and everyone expected his childhood friend, the one they believed was hopelessly in love with him, to arrive in tears and break it up. Instead, the narrator only came to return the necklace Jake had given, then quietly walked away. Jake assumed it was a game of playing hard to get, but that was not the case. That same night, the narrator had already ended up in Daniel's bed, Jake's roommate, and the fallout of that choice begins to unravel the friendship.
