Rejected by My Griffin, Claimed by the Snake God

A paladin who was slain is given a second chance, waking on the very day of her sacred beast summoning. She turns away the griffin that her sister had taken from her and instead bonds with a dying black snake, never suspecting that an ancient snake god is sleeping inside it. Betrayal, a fallen griffin, and the loss of a holy city follow, and her long-sealed divine power begins to stir.
