No Longer a Stand-in: Her Time to Shine

Mila Parker has spent three years living in the shadow of Vivian Blair, the woman Adrian Nolan loves, because she looks almost exactly like her. Used as a stand-in for someone who was never truly hers, Mila has been treated as a substitute rather than a person in her own right. Her quiet acceptance of that role is what gives the story its central tension, as she begins to weigh how much longer she is willing to be overlooked.
