My Fiancé's Mistress Tried to Strip-Search Me

Sera Vitti flies back to New York for one purpose: to meet the man her mother has chosen as her husband. Her first encounter with the family goes badly when Nico's devoted companion, a woman he has shielded since childhood, humiliates her in a Fifth Avenue boutique and has her removed. When Sera phones Nico to complain, he tells her to be grateful for the chance to join his family at all, then ends the call. Within hours she is accused of theft and held against a wall by the Ferrante household's men, who threaten to film a humiliating search, and Nico is unmoved.
