My Bodyguard Has Teeth

Sloane Holt was once her agency's deadliest operative, but two years into retirement she is knocked out by a date and wakes tied to a chair with a final assignment: escort a general's daughter, Lily Derrickson, to a private island. Lily is bold and uninterested in protection, and she is the first person in twenty years to see Sloane as a woman rather than a weapon. When the staff prove armed and the lights go out, a bullet strikes Sloane's chest but is stopped by a flask Lily slipped into her pocket. The bullet is silver, suggesting a hunter is after someone other than the general's codes.
