Marked by the merman I once tamed

Skyla, a half-elf beast tamer living under the chill of Frost Syndrome, is commanded by Saintess Seraphine to capture and subdue a merman prince. Though they belong to opposing sides, their time together slowly draws them into love. The prince carries two sharply different souls, the gentle and loyal Lucien and the icy Dorian, and both are drawn to Skyla. To keep him alive, she is forced to stage a cruel betrayal that sends him spiraling between love and hatred.
