Love from the Moutains

Thalassa was once a wealthy young woman who was abducted and held in a remote mountain village. After years of cruel abuse by the man who took her, she was finally rescued and returned to her family, but she carried deep psychological scars. Her daughter Lysandra was seven when this happened, and as Thalassa's unpredictable breakdowns continued, the household grew to resent the girl for carrying her captor's blood. Lysandra slowly came to feel she did not belong in her mother's world, and the two drifted apart even though their love never faded.
