Left Behind, I Rose Above All

Ethan Carter is pushed aside when his family hands his college place to his cousin. The woman he loves, Claire Foster, marries Blake Voss under an arrangement meant to help the cousin pretend to be depressed, leaving Ethan stung by both his relatives and his fiancée. Refusing to stay under their thumb, he walks out and enrolls at Aegis University, where he meets Ava Carter and begins a fresh romance. Old wounds, however, are far from settled.
