Leaving the Past Behind

After a car crash leaves Kevan unable to hear or speak, Kaylyn decides to stand by him, and to help him feel less alone she pretends to share his disability. The lie is meant as a gift of solidarity, but it quietly places her in a position she never planned to hold. As the pair draw closer, the pretense becomes harder to sustain and each new day tests what they feel for one another.
