Incubating His Violet Pearls

Carter and I have been together for five years, and our intimacy has always followed a strange ritual: he never went further than slipping a dark violet pearl inside me, which I took as a sign of his devotion. That belief shattered the night I woke up naked to find a phone propped on the bed, its lens aimed at me and a red LIVE icon glowing on the screen. Messages on the stream spoke of a pearl that would mature on October 31, and my own phone told me the date was only October 30. I am now facing the truth about what Carter has been doing to me.
