I Married the Fool They Mocked, Then Won It All

In a rural village during the 1980s, Clara Hayes spends five years working hard to support her fiancé, Evan Carter, while those around them treat him as a laughingstock. The pressure of carrying the household and the scorn of neighbors set the stage for a fierce, determined woman who refuses to let public ridicule define the man she loves. Their bond is tested as Clara begins to push back against those who doubt him.
