Noelle is an aspiring librarian who is clumsy and still nursing a broken heart. Across the hall lives Jake, a detective who is terrified of losing everything once again. When Noelle moves into the apartment beside his, a mix of fate and magnetic attraction draws them into each other's daily lives, even though both of them know better. Jake must decide whether to open up before the chance slips away, while Noelle has to weigh whether she can set aside everything that keeps them apart.
