Fate in the Fog

Nina Wayne spent ten years in a secret romance with Tyson Moore, a subordinate of her father, starting when she was just eighteen. When her brother fell in battle and her father lay gravely ill, she begged Tyson to marry her, hoping to bring her family some comfort, yet he turned her down once more and wed his childhood friend, Wendy Yates. Nina responds to the rejection without tears or a scene, drawing a fortune slip that points her toward Jared Shaw, a fierce mercenary leader, and she moves to set the soonest wedding date she can.
