Divination Beats the Famine

Jiang Chen, a ruler of the underworld carrying a heavy load of guilt, is struck by lightning and wakes up inside the body of a man in a village ravaged by famine. Cast into a time and place far from his own power, he must find his footing among desperate villagers. The clipped premise points to a rogue in the story, and that clash between a fallen ruler and a hungry, unforgiving world drives the drama forward.
