Captured by the pirate stepson

Charlotte, a Saintess of the Holy See, is forced into a marriage with a heavyset governor who is twenty years older than she is. On her wedding night she takes a desperate chance and leaps from the bridal ship, but the sea does not save her for long: she is captured by Marcus, the governor's feared pirate son. Believing he means to haul her back and hand her over to his father, she soon discovers that her volatile new stepson is far more frightening than the man she fled.
