To shield the baby and Michael's career, Emma left after deceiving him with the help of an actor, and Rebecca took the child, used him to win Michael's trust, and married Michael. Now a rising baseball star, Michael meets Emma, who is working as a cleaner, and pulls her into a job as his assistant, where old feelings begin to resurface.
