Blood & Scales

Zero, a rogue super-soldier, sneaks into a black-market auction where a captured siren named Eve is being sold, drained and withered nearly to the bone. A single drop of his genetically altered blood lands on her skin and rouses her, and she emerges golden-scaled and deadly, cutting down everyone in the room before declaring him hers. Their first touch sets off a blaze, because his blood is both the poison that burns her and the only thing that can save her.
