1984: From Screwed to Scrubbing

Grant is trying to stage a comeback, but everyone around him treats the attempt as a punchline. Each gesture he makes, from apologizing to pitching in with chores, gets brushed off, misread, or met with flight rather than forgiveness. Hauling himself toward a dream of redemption, he has to prove he has changed while the people he hurt refuse to believe it. The gap between how Grant sees himself and how the world sees him drives every awkward turn of this romance.
